Need help quick!!
K guys...let's see how quick you all are....
I'm in the process of changing my rear axle seals and bearings. So I have my truck jacked up, tires and drums off, rear diff cover off, locking screw for the pin is removed and my next step is to remove the pin.....the book makes it look really easy but I can't get that thing to budge. Am I supposed to beat it with something? Cuz I'm ready to!! Help!

Pushing in on the axles will take off some pressure. You have to do this to get the c clips out anyway. Use a small hammer and punch to peck the pin out.

Just helped someone do the same thing - wasn't fun. We found metal shavings and broken gears. His axle was toast.

I hate doing seals and gears in the rear end. that pin is always a pain in the rear end.lol ya you have to use a hammer and a punch and you have to slide the axles to free up slack to get the c clips out. oh what fun.lol also putting it all back together.
