She's at 4/6
My flip kit came yesterday, and it's on today.
I did have 4" leafs, and used the top hole in the shackles, for a drop of around 5". I measured everything today before starting. It was 27.5" all the way around. After I flipped it and put my old stock leafs back on, again, putting the back of the leaf in the top hole in the shackle, it was still 27.5" in front of course, but the back was now 25.75". Hmm... this amounts to 1.75" lower. It looked to me, and it may have been my eyes playing tricks on me, that the back was too low. If my previous measurements were right, and I think they were, this would mean I was now over 6", by about a 1/2". I went back and put the rear of the leaf in the lower shackle hole. This moved it up 1/2", to 26.25". Anyway to the point. I now have measurements of 27.5 in front, and 26.25 at the rear. I'm pretty sure there is a difference of 1.25" in front and rear fender well lips, so this sounds right. So, what do you 4/6 guys have for measurements? It don't matter what size your tires and wheels are, I only want to know how much difference you have in yours. It looks a lot better I think. I'll get some pics tomorrow, it's about dark here now. I'll probably get a C notch now. I only have around 2.5" left between the axle and frame. Not enough I don't think. I don't want to go banging on the frame. I removed the bump stop too.

Well I'm not sure how much this will help, considering I have the 4.3 in it. But, here are the measurements I took
Front Driver 27 3/8" Front Passenger 28" Rear Driver 25 7/8" Rear Passenger 26 5/16" This is the first time I have taken measurements. Should there be this much variation in them? Also, these are from the ground to the wheel well. Hope it helps.

Gary,
sounds similar to what I have. As to the difference between side to side, do you have a full tank of gas in the drivers side and empty on the passenger? Mine has always done this unless both sides were about empty or full. Thanks |

Well, no doubt, I'm going to install a C-notch. I drove my truck tonight and was hitting the frame a little. We have some terrible roads in this neck of the woods, so no way to get around a notch.
I'm really liking the new level stance. |

Hey Mike, try to get some pics when you are installing the notch, it could be a good "how to" for those of us who have not done it yet.
Just a thought...

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- First thing is to have the flip kit installed and the wheels on the truck and the truck on the ground. this way you can mark the exact center of the axle on the frame so the notch will line up with the frame correctly. The next thing i did was make a templete out of card board the same size as the semi-circle part of the notch that goes through the frame. I used a level and stood it straight up on the axle, with the straight edge of the level lined up with the certer of the axle tube. The level should show you on your frame exactly where the center line of the notch should be so your notch is centerd correctly. scribe this center line on the frame. then take your templete and line the center of it up with the line on your frame and trace it on there. BEFORE YOU CUT: be sure to have the frame supported on both sides of the notch, and only do one side at a time, one side needs to be completely done and bolted in before you cut the other side. okay now you can cut, i used a grinder with 4 1/2 inch cutting wheel okay now after you have it cut slip the notch on and use clamps to hold it in place now you can start drilling the holes, you'll need a good hard metal drill bit. each time you drill one hole go ahead and instert that bolt and snug the nut up, this way you know all of your bolt holes will line up. torque them all to spec. put you bumpstop on and your set. inside view ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I really like the stance there Mike But if you're going to notch it I agree with Jeremy you know the bug will bite you to go with bags. Might as well do it then
