Parts Picture Thread

I love these trucks. I like them in all forms, from pristine restored to tarnished survivor and whole, partial, and even all the bits and pieces. Gathering parts seems to go with owning these trucks. I think most of us have some sort of stash. Some are planned for the one we drive, some are left over from former trucks, some are just because they look cool or it feels good just knowing you found it. I feel most parts are just nice to look at. I love seeing parts in the for sale section,at swap meets, laying around someone's garage (especially mine),hanging on a wall, digging through boxes...anywhere. So lets post up pictures of parts, new, valuable, almost turned to dirt,common/rare,artistic,have/had,as jewelry...whatever. I just think it could be a fun thread. Just don't turn it into a "Hey,I wanna buy that" thread.
I'll start:

Hey, I wanna buy that...... Just kidding.

I don't have any parts for these trucks. Maybe I should start saving some stuff...

Re: Parts Picture Thread

So you're one of those,eh? What's it like to own these things and not have any spares laying around? Sure makes for a tidy place I'm sure. When I built a screened picnic house I figured in an attic just for parts. Trying to keep my place tidy takes some effort. The only thing not stored in is my axle/trans/transfer case stash. That's all piled on a little 4 x 8 utility trailer under a tarp stuck under a Colorado Blue Spruce next to the rack I built to hold my scaffold and ladders out by the shop. That's my dog patch area.
Here's over the picnic house:

Re: Parts Picture Thread

Tim, I do believe your a hoarder...albeit a very neat one by the looks of that loft. I've managed to accumulate my fair share of Truck parts as well, usually when I buy replacement parts I'm left with the old part and I haven't the heart to toss it as they are inevitably the original piece from new, & a few things i've bought in error...which I must get round to posting up for those tat want them, even got a few Buick Riviera bits too.

Re: Parts Picture Thread

Ha ha...it's fun to sit amongst our friends, the parts. Like Eightbanger said,it's hard to let any go. You may need it.someone else may need it,you may want to change it back, and it never did anything to hurt anyone...heheh.
I have a hard time deleting pictures of parts. That's where the idea for this thread came from. I have a folder for parts pictures when I sold them and realized I just like looking at them. The parts I sold are gone and now all I have are the pictures to look at. When we go to sell parts, people just gotta have pictures. Sure,we need to see the condition, but it seems to me many just want to look at the pictures.Cuz I've shown some pictures of some darn nice parts, upon request, and those people didn't buy
If you have pictures, show them. If you don't,go take some pictures. Mint rare to common at 1/2 buried in the ground. A single part to a collection. Yours, ones you saw at swap meets,Ebay...whatever.

Re: Parts Picture Thread

Good thing I'm a honest person. Otherwise I would be hounding some folks for their current address and what days they will not be home. I see some mighty fine collections. I looked in my man-cave and there isn't a corner with a clean spot for all the parts I've decided was too difficult to really part with. I guess it's a sickness similar to the swine flu. Just help me I'm a sick person.. point me to the next swap meet for a deal I can't pass up.

OK, I made it back out of the barn. (I only got lost twice)..... I was busier than a one legged man in a butt kickin' contest today but I got a few pictures snapped. I can't afford all of them new parts like you guys so I have to go to the salvage yards and scrounge all of the old junk parts to use. Here's a couple of pics.
