Truck is DEAD

ok so while i wa driving home yesterday my truck went completely dead, everything stopped working, turning key was useless, i coasted almost to my house, went to my house came back, popped my hood, everyhting looked fine, i messed with the wiring behind my igntion, turned the key and got it to start, i made it to the top of my drive way and it died again, i get it down to the shop, and i jiggle the wires around behind the ignition again, it fires right up, i drive it around town and it does fine, so now this morning i go to leave for school and nothing, it was dead again, not even a little try to start.....wat could this be?

Re: Truck is DEAD

Time to do a wiggle test. When you get it up and running start to wiggle the wires around the ignition switch to try to pinpoint the problem may have a burned up wire on the back of the ignition switch.

Re: Truck is DEAD

Sounds like either a bad ignition switch or the ignition plug isn't making good contact with the switch. WES

Re: Truck is DEAD

Ok I fixed it, there is 3 wires connected together and screwed in to the left of the Battery and somehow the heat shrink melted and got in between two of the connectors and wasn't letting it connect, thanks for the help guys.
