I have a 66 Swb Stepside with a factory drums and Im lookin to drop it 2.5" with spindles. If I convert to disk brakes via coversion kit will the drop spindles have to be changed to coop with the disks?

Re: Drop Spindle Question
Can you get drop spindles for drum brakes? When I looked a while ago (for a friends truck) all I came up with was spindles that took disks. I probably didn't look at the right sites though.

Re: Drop Spindle Question
Spindle kits with brakes, or springs is all I can think of.

Are there any tutorials on how to swap front or rear ends on this site?

Re: Drop Spindle Question
yep, you can get drop spindles if you convert to disc brakes...factory options you could use would be from a '71-72 or the '73-87, or you can purchase aftermarket kits...if you keep drums, your only option will be to change springs
