Rims hitting lower a-arms....

I have belltech 3" drop spindles and airbags on my 72 2wd blazer. We rebuilt all the suspension and went to put on the stock 15" rally and now the rim is hitting the lower control arm. Is this common? Do i need a larger rim?

Interference w/the lip on the lower a-arm is common when using 3" spindles. Trimming the a-arm lip back is also common.

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.

Re: Rims hitting lower a-arms....

I just put spacers on mine to correct the contact. Some people don't like them but they have worked fine for me until i can get some 20's or 22's!

Re: Rims hitting lower a-arms....

I'm guessing I have 3" drop spindles as well, not sure because the PO did it but it rubbed something, I don't think it was the LCA because I have tubular's, I want to say it was the Tie rod? Can't really remember but spacers will be a quick fix.
