Tire size question?
I checked out some previous links and really couldn't find an answer
My question is, what is the tallest and widest tire you can put on a 16x6.5 wheel? |

Re: Tire size question?
I would think that a 235/80/16 would be about max.

Re: Tire size question?
Wide tires won't work well on a 6.5" rim.... take a look at this thread http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=440978 for some ideas, then check http://www.tirerack.com/ or mfgr's web sites to see what rim widths are recommended for specific tire sizes.

Re: Tire size question?
LT255/85/16 work fine on the 16x7 rims on my Dodge - should be fine on a 6.5 width. My favorite tire size on a 4x4 - tall but still stays in the fenders.
33.5" tall, but narrow. This tire size calculator shows 6.5-8" rim width I did run some LT285/75/16 on 16x7 rims, but they wear in the center fast. http://www.1010tires.com/TireSizeCal...?action=submit
