ok
just got home from a deployment now back to work on the truck 71 c10 lwb 350sbc tb350 i also have a 2003 gmc sierra with a 5.3 i would like to swap the motor trans rear end and the wiring into the c10 now...would it be easier to swap everything into the c10 or just swap the bed and the cab on to the sierra |

the frames are totally different, i think it would be easier to swap the everything into the 71

no!!!! do the body swap. we want to know how it goes!
seriously though, if you want all the modern updates, not just the EFI and deep skirt block, do the swap. if you can weld, you can fabricate the body mounts in the right places to keep the stock bushings, then just be concerned about swapping out the dashes, or mounting the wiring. is the sierra a standard cab? it still has a different wheelbase but the Ls based motor swap is not simple like they make it sound...

ive had few bare frames from newer silverados, and have wanted to do the same... my friends talked me out of it, the newer frame is alot wider. i tryed to put an 05 frame on my trailer and it wouldnt roll on due to it being to wide, now a 68 frame fit on my trailer with about six inches to spare on the sides
