"Blue" gets an update... PB style.
Well I figured its about time to get this thread going... Long story short, I have owned this truck since I was 15, and exactly 15 years later it is due for a rebuild. I restored this truck originally in 1998, and it has undergone a few changes since then, different motors/wheels, added air ride, etc.
Time for a real update... At this point I may/may not repaint it, as the paint is showing signs of being 13 years old, and I would give it a 6.5/10. Quality Driver. Here is the list of the mods being done and a few terrible pics of the truck before and where I am at now... about a month into the work... List of Updates: Dropmembers front and rear 6.0 LQ getting a bigger cam/LS2 intake 4l60e/yank 3600 in place of th350 KORE3 14"/13" C5 Brakes Rushforth Rated-X's 20/22 or 22's brushed center polished outer New Air managment Smooth/repaint Firewall New interior Pics...

More pics... Have the rear done, and the rear is narrowed 2" per side. Also got a rendering from Jason Rushforth!

Re: "Blue" gets an update... PB style.
Hey thanks nate! I am really excited about this rebuild to the truck. Hopefully will have it driving by end of august. That is the goal.
I got the front dropmember installed, and I am working to get the firewall finished and painted. Trying to decide on color for the firewall. Go blue again, or go satin black that would complement the frame/suspension/motor very similar to what DSE does with their builds. It is a color that I actually got from N2Billet that you see on hazel. Thoughts everyone? Also, as if anyone doesnt know, but shout out to nate at porterbuilt, your products are awesome, and go together extremely well! Cant say enough! Will try and get some pics up of the front tomorrow or this weekend. Jason

Re: "Blue" gets an update... PB style.
I am really not sure. Painted it in 98, and I want to say it was a *gasp* ford taurus blue, but not sure which year it was.

Re: "Blue" gets an update... PB style.
Finally an update... It has been a while. It's amazing how life can get in the way, got married, took a few trips, and now have a new one on the way!
Anyways, I am back at work on the truck and trying to get it done so I can enjoy it! As of right now, I have the Frame and PB parts all done and it is under the truck again. The firewall was smoothed and painted as well. The motor and tranny are in, and the brakes from Kore3 are on and plumbed. Fuel system is in and plumbed as well. Wheels and tires are ordered and expected in the next month or so and it will be great to be rolling again! The motor was completely reshened up even though it only had 30K miles on it, but now has new rings/bearings/oil pump/timing/ etc. LS2 intake was added along with custom spec'd cam. Should run really well, as the stock 6.0with smaller cam ran very good. I am in the process of getting all the body back together and crossing to-do's off the list. Still have lots to go but here are some new pics with more to follow. Going to try and keep this a little more updated! Jason
