NP-203 Pics

I'm getting ready to convert my 83 shortbed 4x4 to a manual and the transfer case I have to use is an NP-203. Can someone post a pic of how it's mounted up in the truck? What type of x-member is used? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Re: NP-203 Pics

The sm465 to 203 was only offered I beleive from 1973 to 1974 so the adapter is rare .I beleive there is a complete tranny and transfer on E-bay right now(search for 203 transfer case in the parts section).I beleive Off Road Design has a write up on different ways to connect the 465 to the 203 on their website. Why do wou have to use a 203?

Re: NP-203 Pics

I'm using the 203 because it's what I have. I did an inventory of what I would need for the conversion and all I have to buy is some bolts and driveshafts. The t-case is already bolted to the transmission, I just don't know what the crossmember looks like. There is a bracket on the t-case and I think that is all I need but I want to be sure.

Re: NP-203 Pics

Awesome thanks!!! I was thinking mine might be different because I'm using a manual transmission.
