Carb ?s
So I am trying to stick with the original Q jet on my 71 402. So after getting my truck and driving it 500 miles some fun some a lot of work I decided to tear it apart and I ordered a rebuild kit from NAPA which I will pick up and install on Sat. When I was taking it apart I noticed one of my problems was the float does anyone know if the rebuild kit will come with a new float?

No, floats need to be ordered separate.

So today I ripped my carb all apart. I also got a brass float and the kit turns out the float I had was not liking this new gas. Well after a few hours and a lot of cleaning measuring and adjusting I successfully reassembled the carb and to my amazement when it was all together I turned the key and she fired right up! Took it on a test ride a little while ago and what a difference so far so great, it starts easy idles fine and has way better response and power.

Gotta love Q-Jets, i have them on both my trucks. They are easy to work on and very reliable when tuned properly. Joseph
