DJM Flip kit #FK1024-5 ??

I just got my DJM Flip kit from ups today, First thing i did was take the U shaped (axle locater?) And stick it under my stock spring perches. I have a stock 10 Bolt, 85 C10.. The center of the U shaped piece hits the axle before the sides of it hit the bottom of the spring perch. Is this a problem? Im not sure if this is how its supposed to be so you can set the pinion angle...?

Im putting it on Saturday night and just want to be sure before i get everything torn down and realize, OH S**T this doesnt fit.

As far as i know its a stock 10 bolt w/ 3:08 gears.

Its the 85 Dollar one on summit, FK1024-5.

Let me know if you need more info.

I looked it up so we could have a visual. The saddle should fit up against the spring perch. How close is it to making contact on the sides?

Re: DJM Flip kit #FK1024-5 ??

DURRRR! i must be an idiot, It has about 1/16 on each side when its in the middle of the axle, and it fits when its pulled slightly back into the purch. Didnt even realize that the whole idea of a flip kit was to slightly move the axle back. DOH!

Well better safe then sorry right!?
