Towing Question
I am not use to towing with a fancy tranny. Last time I towed much was with my 96 GMC, which I just put into 3 instead of drive so it won't go into OD. On my 2002 it has the tow feature button for the tranny. I am starting to tow more with it and I push the button and also still do the put it into 3 vice d so it won't go into OD.
Do I need to do that with the tow feature on the tranny? Does it disable the OD feature r does it just firm up the shifts? Ed-u-ma-kate me folks. Thanks

Re: Towing Question
I tow with mine all the time, you can put it in "D" and it wont go into OD. It will firm the shifts and hold out first for a good while.

Re: Towing Question
It holds the shifts longer and increases the line pressure. It also won't let the trans shift into OD until I think 60mph.
I'm surprised the 4.3L has this feature on a fullsize.
