Rain gutter question......
The rain gutter "caulking" sealant surrounding the cab on my '63 short-wide is chipped and cracked. What's the common fix for this - stripping it all out and re-sealing? If so, what product do you use? If not, what's the best fix?
Thanks in advance for any help you could provide. -Bob |

Re: Rain gutter question......
3M makes some good seam sealers for that.

Re: Rain gutter question......
I wire wheeled everything to bare metal and applied epoxy primer. I then used Evercoat Maxim self leveling seam sealer. The nice part is it can be used with a standard caulking gun. Some of the others require a specialty (very expensive) gun.
Post #3 on this thread shows how mine turned out: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...ht=seam+sealer Last edited by markeb01; 06-03-2011 at 09:26 PM. |

Re: Rain gutter question......
Kill the rust if any and use a good seam sealer and smooth out with your finger.
