Steering Wheel Recommendation?
My 71 Suburbans steering wheel is falling apart. The horn works though, I was wondering if anyone knows a good aftermarket wheel that is easy to hook up the horn or a good repop or old new stock, the color is fawn I believe.

Re: Steering Wheel Recommendation?
Can't speak for aftermarket wheels, but the new reproduction GM wheels come black. Those OEM style wheels can be purchased from anyone of the vendors of your choice, and then have it painted to match your color choice.
If you are looking for an original, and want to roll the dice on getting one the same color you need. I would hammer the WTB and for sale sections, in both PU and Suburban areas. Check with member "Sharpie1972", he always seems to have what I am looking for and is a pleasure to deal with in my experience.

Re: Steering Wheel Recommendation?
some vendors sell them in several colors. original wheels look nice, but a smaller diameter is nice if you have power steering. i like the 80's style wheel in my burb that was installed by the previous owner.

Speaking of later model GM wheels...
This one worked well for me.

Re: Steering Wheel Recommendation?
This is the steering wheel I'd recommened, as its the one that is on my 94 DD Burb. They look great and feel great in your hands and should be plentiful at the wreckers.

Re: Steering Wheel Recommendation?
What tools do I need to pull the steering wheel at the junk yard? Must be some type of puller I need to get?

Re: Steering Wheel Recommendation?
Anyone know where the install thread for this type of wheel is? I seem to recall a nice little write-up...
