1967 Puch 250 - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

I know it's not a ton to look at and it's not worth much, but this is my new toy. It was originally my grandfather's brother's bike in Big Bear, CA. In the late 70's he had passed and left everything to Grampa. 15 years ago Grampa gave it away to a family friend and he recently found out about my projects - bikes and trucks. So he gave the bike to me and it's now in my basement to keep from humidity while I do some research on it to get it running and riding. From what I gather the "TWINGLE" cylinder 2 stroke isn't a powerhouse at all but it gets about 70 mpg - great for a sunny day cruise to work!

It's got 4174 original miles on it and they're all from family. That's cool to me.

The little ones are mine and the older one is my cousin's daughter.

I don't ride bikes, but I love looking at them and that one looks really cool.

Thanks for the comments! I've got it in the wood room in my basement to protect from humidity until I figure exaclty what I want to do with it. Ultimately I'd love to get it running and ride it to work and back on good days and take it to shows in the area. Not positive if I want to leave the patina or do a restore. Once again, it adds no value but it will help preserve it for sure.

nice bike. Im the same way with motorcycles that I am with cars and trucks. Nothin beats an old cruiser. \

Cool old bike, reminds me a lot of the early 70's MZ Trophy a friend of mine is nearly done restoring (this is not his bike, his now looks like new but I don't have any pictures of it)

That looks like a good approach to me also. I love it when people find old family stuff to fix up.

Thanks for the input everyone! Still fighting back and forth what to do with it. But there's no harm with it sitting in the basement until I am ready to open up a new project. Getting the 69 the way I want it is in process, her S10 needs a little work - tuneup and a starter, some work on the house... I'll check the wiki link out, thanks for the idea! Usually I end up there to find most answers...
