wont start

im new to da whole carburated motor thing so im stuck frustrated with my c10 with a carburated 350 before my ls conversion....it just wont start..ive tried puttin gas in tha carg cuz its been like a month or so without turning it on n it just doesnt wanna give me a brake and start lol...any help would be greatly appreciated..its got a edelbrock double barrel by tha way and yes it does have gas

remove the air cleaner lid and Look down into the carburetor and work the throttle linkage and watch for the accelerator pump spray. If you got a spray then you probably don't have a fuel problem.

Check fuel filter. If you can't or is hard to blow thru then replace filter.

Check fuel pump. Loosen line and bump motor over if fuel doesn't pour out then replace pump. Make sure you got gas before changing pump.

Check for spark. Unplug a spark plug lead and hold it close to a ground. Have somebody crank engine, if you got a spark zapping to ground then spark is probably Ok.

Pull some plugs and see what they look like. Black and sooty, black and oily or just wet from too much gas won't let ignition work.
I clean spark plugs by using a propane torch. Hold plug with rubber hose, pliers or spark plug socket and slowly heat up spark plug electrode . If you heat it up too fast it will crack the plug. Crud will burn off the plug. Check gap and reinstall. If electrode is rounded then probably need to replace plugs.

Might check the oil. I had a 1989 that killed the ignition one time with pressure switch when oil got real low.

This ought to narrow it down a little
