Power Brake Issue
I bought a 55 3800 series body on a 1980 Chevy pickup frame. Everything works good on the truck but the brakes have an issue. I've done a lot of brake systems in my time so I completely rebuilt the brakes and I have a good solid pedal, but the pedal from the 1980 setup only has about 3 inches of travel before it hits the floor. Because of this I'm not getting the full stopping power from the brakes. The pedal needs to be moved out about 2-3 inches. I've thought about cutting the pedal and rewelding it in a position that gets it higher off the floor or a longer rod form the pedal to the booster. Haven't fully though on the last one yet so I'm not sure if that would work. Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

Re: Power Brake Issue
Welcome to the forum Mike. It sounds like an adjustable plunger rod might be beneficial to consider.
