seat bracket question.

hi. will a driver side and passenger side seat track interchange? i know one pulls to the left, the other the right, but can you swap them around? i have pass side 60 and driver 40 bases. can i use these bases to make one passenger side bucket base? outer bases of each? makes sence, just want to ask first.

Re: seat bracket question.

Yes, the outer bases will work to make a 40 but it will have 2 handles . If you have all the bases to a 60/40 you could just use both of the 40 bases on the pass. side. Its the inner base on the 60 thats at a different angle, since it bolts to the trans. tunnel.

Re: seat bracket question.

The driver side 40 will bolt to the pass side. Only difference will be, you will pull the handle to the inside to move the seat forward and back. Where stock passenger side normally pulls to the outside. Hope i didnt confuse you.......... The bases for the 40 will bolt to either side... If the holes are allready in the floor. If not you will have to drill the inside holes on the pass side.

Re: seat bracket question.

you can also use bench brackets to bolt up buckets, I've done that on the 85 monte carlo ss I had and saw it done on these trucks too.
