Repairing my dash bezel

The Po messed up the bezel in my 87. It took forever to get it out. He stuck a cd player in it. I will mount my radio, cd player under the dash. You can see how I am trying to fix the bezel. Don't want to buy a new one.

Re: Repairing my dash bezel

I went to a shop where they install radios. Bought a piece of abs plastic. It is about 1/8th. thick. Made a template. Traced it , and cut it with a box knife. I will put the bezel back in, and then get black small screws and screw it in place. The plastic is textured on one side. I will mount the radio under the dash. It may not look too good. But it will sound good. Having trouble getting the cluster out. That is another story.

What you might want to do is extend that piece all the way to the steering column cut out. It would hide the edge a little better.

Re: Repairing my dash bezel

I will post it when I am finished. It may be a while. I am fighting with the instrument cluster.
