I like it; I've always been partial to that color, and those wheels. Looks clean for its age, too.

ty JB

ok here a few more, the sunshine washes everything out though. >.>
It needs a good wash after sitting at work all week, and an interior detailing. Try to ignore the dust lol

Short Term:

1) Oil change, even though the oil is clean I still prefer to start my own service record.

2) Clean or what ever needs to be done to the EFI. Never had anything but a carb so I don't know about EFI. It takes several seconds cranking to start when it's cold and driving feels sluggish or weak. I know it's only a 5L but it's still a SBC, it should have a bit more pep than it does, I think..
So any advice anyone can offer on EFI is appreciated.

3) Replace pads and shoes. I've already had to replace both front brake hoses. They were both partially collapsed inside.

4) Have the front end aligned. It pulls to the right more than it should and the right front tire is a bit worn on the outside.

5) Darker window tint.

6) 1/2 can or so of freon added to A/C system. Compressor cycles on and off a bit more often than it should.

7) It'll need tires in a few months.

Long Term:

1) Get it payed for! would you believe this is the only vehicle I've ever financed? Also the only one I've owned with a working A/C lol

2) Honestly, I'm not sure. I'd like to make it "mine" with different/wider wheels and tires and maybe dual exhaust. But at the same time I think it'll hold it's value better if it remains mostly as it rolled off the assembly line.
To be decided later on I guess...

Re: My New(er) Ride

are you going to keep the toolbox and headache rack? i think it would look way cleaner without, plus the bed hooks taken out. other then that it looks super clean.

Undecided. I like the idea of a tool box, never far from needed items like jumper cables, hand tools, etc. And even though this box is in great shape (locks and lid springs work, etc) I may opt for a lower profile box in the long term.

I like the headache rack to be honest, protects the back glass from cargo, though a cleaner style rack would be nice.

The bed hooks will be gone in short order, but that'll leave holes in the top of bed >.> I'm thinking about chrome or stainless bed rails in place of the hooks.

So I have a question. I know some older model GM motors had a fiber timing gear. Could this be one of them? At 82k miles could a worn timing gear be a reason for the sluggish/weak motor?

Re: My New(er) Ride

That is a GREAT truck!! Man--it looks like a new one! Cannot believe you snagged a 91 with 81K miles--that thing is just getting broken in

Congrats and enjoy!

Re: My New(er) Ride

Sweet find looks in great shape and super clean Do you have a check engine light coming on? There's a lot of simple things that could make it sluggish. Need more info on it.

Re: My New(er) Ride

Hmm that's weird have you done a tune up on it yet? Like plugs wires, air filter, fuel filter and such?
