Is this a good lowering kit???

I want a 3/5 drop and this kit is cheap. I know you get what you pay for so is this a good deal and have everything I need for a 3/5 drop. This is the first time for me to lower a truck. I've only done civics lol. They are a little different. Just let me know if this is a good kit. Here is the link-->

http://www.autopartswarehouse.com/sk...gs+Best+Seller

If this is not a good kit please give me some suggestions. Thanks.

Re: Is this a good lowering kit???

Western Chassis makes a good product. I would check in the Suspension Marketplace or the Vendor Marketplace and see if our Forum Vendors can get you a better deal.

Ok I will check that out. Thanks for your help. I can't wait to drop it though, I tend to be impatient

WESTERN CHASSIS SUSPENSION DROP KIT -- Consists of front drop coil, rear pinion angle drop block kit, front drop spindle, rear drop leaf spring, A-arm, rear drop coil, rear drop shackle and hanger kit, rear drop flip kit only, "C" section kit, bump stops, and carrier-bearing bracket; Kits with rear blocks have pinion angle correction to ensure less strain on driveline; Every component is quality manufactured for safety and durability to ensure top performance; Easy installation
Something smells phishy here. Spindles alone go for $250. I can't see them supplying spindles & everything else listed above for $278 w/o a catch or some fine print. Buyer beware....

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.
It's like a highly skilled Morrocan sword fighter with a Damascus Steel Scimitar.....

Cubic inches is like Indiana Jones with a cheap pistol.

Yea that's what I was thinking. Thats kinda why I wanted to ask about the kit, because it is quite cheaper than others...

The listing reads very generic:
front drop coil,
rear pinion angle drop block kit
front drop spindle
rear drop leaf spring
A-arm
rear drop coil
rear drop shackle and hanger kit
rear drop flip kit
"C" section kit
bump stops
carrier-bearing bracket
Kits with rear blocks have pinion angle correction to ensure less strain on driveline

Definitely call & confirm what's actually included. Also verify the warranty & return policies (get them in writing).

I will definately do that. Also, is there any chance you know about how long a 3/5 drop takes. I'm also replacing lower ball joints, idler arm, pitman arm, and gonna repack wheel bearings, maybe more once i take it apart...alot to do indeed.

I (we) did a 4/6 drop on board member Jonboy's old 79 short fleet in my driveway. We started after lunch-time on a Saturday & worked until 6pm when Jon had to leave. I did a little more later that night (removed the front coils again & trimmed another 1/2 coil).

We went back out Sunday mid-morning & it was done by 2 or 3pm. We installed spindles, cut the front coils (1/2 coil @ a time), trimmed the lower a-arm lips, & did a rear flip kit. We both know our way around a truck so that helped....
