axle/rim scrub distance
I have just put a 4" dropped axle in my 50 3100. If the rims were to be on the road I have 1\4" clearance to the axle. I don't know what that measurement is called but what is the normal accepted minimum.
Thanks |

Re: axle/rim scrub distance
According to the State Patrolman that explained it to me you are good to go. His statement was that he didn't care how low my truck was as long as nothing touched the pavement when all four tires were flat so he could push it off the road.

Re: axle/rim scrub distance
Thanks for the info. I really needed to go to a narrower rim on the front so while I am at it I will go from 16" to 17" wheel and that should give me 3\4" clearance so I should be good.
