I bought a house today!!
I finally did it. Bought my first home today. One criteria was a two port garage. It will be nice to get BAD BOW out of the Texas heat to work on. Once I get settled in BAD BOW is gonna get a lot of needed attention. On the list: front suspension rebuild, electric fan install, 350 engine, POR work and interior work. Less money to spend on my project now but I won't give up. It will just take longer to build.
Can you say BBQ and a truck roundup? I'm gonna live right down the street from a city park too!!! |

Congrats G. I just finished building my first home about three months ago. I know how you feel, it's awesome.
My wife, my two kids and I were living in a three car garage for two yrs before the house was built. Now I have a house and an awesome garage to work in. Enjoy the new house!!

Awesome news G!!!
I acctually just bought a two car garage and the house came with it!!! Owning a house is a blast and a good way to make some money down the road. You are right, it will take longer to finish the truck, but having your own place sure makes it worth it. I bet your Mom is glad you are outta the house finally!! -Jeff |

Thanks fellas,
Once I get setteled in I'll host a BBQ. A member from CT says he'll bring the pit and wood. All we need is food!! You know road kill or red meat!! Plenty of parking down the street. I live close to a park. It's a great feeling. I won't be able to spend the first night in the house till Sunday. Gotta move, but I have a three day engineering and science conferance I need to attend because I'm a VP of non profit organization. I'm sure I can make money once the neighbors see me tuning and working under the hoods of my trucks. :p |

Ryan,
My house loan is VA. Fairly simple. The best advise I can give is to get a really good realtor. Mine was very good. I even got money back at closing and spent $2k less than I thought I was going to spend. Sorry Tom, didn't know you lent money. I do need money to brick the rest of the house. I hate that they only put brick on the front side. I'll post pics next week when I get BAD BOW over there. In the mean time the poor V-6 Dakota is the work horse. BAD BOW does not have a bumper or hitch yet. |
