OK-I have been looking but can't find the thread. A few weeks ago (or a little longer) someone had posted an excellent thread with pictures and everything. I didn't think about bookmarking it at the time but now I need to get the wheel off.

Can anyone provide a link to the thread?

I have no idea where the thread you're talking about it, but you can go to your local auto parts store and they rent the tool to do it for free. The guys there should be able to explain it to you.

Thanks for the reply-

I bought a '67 wheel off a board member and want to replace my '69 wheel that's on it. There was a step-by-step process with pictures on a thread but I couldn't find it tonight. I'll have to rent the tool I guess.

Thanks Tooter-I saw that one (it's a good one) but the thread I saw had a link to another thread in it. Someone said they were going to post it to the FAQ section but I guess they didn't.

If you have help take the horn cap off to get to the nut.
Take it off an remove washer, then put back on till its flush with the threads.
sit behind it an pull firmly let helper hit nut with hammer should come loose. If nut is flush it will not hurt threads.
If that don't work , Get the tool . good investment.
