700r4 2wd to np203?

Hi all looking for some help. currently have a 1972 blazer with the sm465/np203 combo. time to upgrade to a overdrive automatic. I currently have a 700r4 of a 1991 Chevy Suburban 2wd (the non electric one so im told) Id like to throw that bad boy on there... What do I need? I checked out advanced adapters and it looks like they make a shaft for $158... Is this all i need or do i also need an adapter plate... also what else will be involved in the swap...
new drive shafts? auto style shifter

also is there any benefit to a newer transfer case? I.E. maybe a bit stronger or quieter, Mine howls like a wolf... or just rebuild it?

Any Info is much appreciated..
