Where can I get a proportioning valve?

I recently diagnosed a bad proportioning valve on my '76 and have been searching the internet for a new one (since part stores say they can't get one), and the only prop. valves I can find are for GM cars. Does anyone know where I can get a new proportioning valve for our trucks??

Inline Tubing has exact replacements in brass or aluminum.

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.
It's like a highly skilled Morrocan sword fighter with a Damascus Steel Scimitar.....

Cubic inches is like Indiana Jones with a cheap pistol.

Re: Where can I get a proportioning valve?

I did not see any replacement proportioning valves in thier catalog for any GM trucks newer than '70.

I don't believe so. From what I can tell, the design is based on disc/drum or disc/disc applications. I would give them a call for specifics to be sure.

Re: Where can I get a proportioning valve?

Years ago I was able to get one from a parts shop that dealt with AC Delco brand parts. The usual chain auto parts stores didn't have the valve at that time either.

Is it the adjustable unit? If so, it's not a direct swap. Brake line fittings are sized differently in a couple of ports.

Thats what I noticed about the CPP prop valves for GMs. They have the 3/8s threads for the two front lines which fits the cars, but not the trucks.

Re: Where can I get a proportioning valve?

Nope, it was a direct replacement; solid brass. All I did was call him and ask for a proportioning valve for a 1978 chevy 1/2 ton. Bolted right up.
