bbc motor swap

Hey guys I've been crawling around on here for a lil while and thanks for all the info you guys have provided but alas I have been using the search and I cant find an answer to my question .......

I hear a lot of people refer to the 305 v6s as a big block does that mean I can use the frame stands for the v6 to swap in my 454 or do I need actual big block frame stands ? thanks in advance

Re: bbc motor swap

it's not a big block, people call it that becouse it is bigger than v6 motors of today.
The v6 mounts might work, but i doubt it.

Re: bbc motor swap

I remember reading a thread not too long ago, explaining the differences (with pictures) of all the different mounts for our trucks, SB, BB, L6 and I think the V6 mounts also. It may have been in the faq's. If I come across it again I'll share the link.

thanx I thought it would be cool to have the v6 but the thing smokes like a locomotive and cant get it to tune right plus parts are outrageous as far as cost
