Fuse for cigarette lighter
Can't find the fuse for the lighter. My truck never had a lighter. I installed a outlet for my Garmin GPS. . I found a red hot wire where the lighter would be. The outlet was messed up and it grounded out , and popped the horn fuse. Was the lighter also on the horn fuse. Thanks for any help.

Re: Fuse for cigarette lighter
16OR-I40 is the wire you are using....
Its possibly factory missed, previous owner removed, who knows, that circuit is crazy, ive followed and clipped, and what not all with these wires on this circuit.... space is tight. It is capable of charging a gps, brief intervals of use with cig lighter, but i wouldent push it, this line is also the hot to your dome lights, so doors open, lights on, 2 ppl light up, POP! blow a fuse. I reccomend taking advantage of the spare terminals on your fuse panel, run off an ac circuit, they should be 30a? run a wire off that male, with an inline blade type, 10a if used with cig lighter, 5-7a if just gps |
