i6 to v8

ok so i got a 83 stepside gmc high sierra and im wanting to take the 4.1 I6(has stuck valve) out and put in a 350. i believe i have a turbo350 trans just cusious if anyone has swapped this truck before and if so how it turn out and can you provide me with some info

I took out an inline 250 and dropped in a v8 years ago and it was easy, you will need motor mounts. can't remember the the mounts on the truck worked, but you will need ne block mounts. don't remember any trouble. '79 stepside

i believe 3 spd its got 1 2 and D on column
but i really dont know

i took my motor mounts and moved them up one hole worked like a charm

My truck was original with a v8, the po put the 6 in. I believe the mounts on the truck worked for both the 6 and the 8. Just get in there and look at them then grab your lmc catalog and compair
