Sanden 508 compressor dimensions?

I have searched on line and on this site and all I can find are the overall length and dimensions between the mounting ears. I need the dimension from the v belt pulley center line(s) to the mounting ears so I can fab a bracket while I still have easy access to the engine. Thanks in advance. Patrick

Anyone running it? standard compressor for most aftermarket applications. I also need the mounting ear thickness. Thanks.

Re: Sanden 508 compressor dimensions?

Orrie, I have one, I'll try to get you pics tonight when I get home. I have a 65 327 short water pump with the stock passenger side compressor mount. Has all original pulleys and whatnot. Looks like the Sanden is going to sort of just fit.

Re: Sanden 508 compressor dimensions?

Thanks, my truck is a 350 long water pump. I moved the alternator to the drives side to put the ac on the passenger to shorten the hose runs. Could you also measure the bolt diameter for ears too? I assume it will be 5/16 or 3/8. I will allow for some front to back movement, just need to get close.

Nick, thanks for the link but all they show on the site are for serpentine belt ac.

Re: Sanden 508 compressor dimensions?

the holes in the mount ears are just right for a 3/8 bolt.

Thank you very much, that is exactly what I needed. If and when we get back to Phoenix area I owe you a beverage or two!

anytime. sorry a couple of those were a little blurry.

weird deal, went out to get in and drive to work and the battery was completely dead. won't even tickle the gas gauge. had to steal the wife's Blazer, I'll have to call her and break the news.
