in the valve ajustment for the floor to def there is ajustment inside (air box) with a rod to move inside,(3 poss spots) this makes most of the air go up or down, but in the middle is all up or down. i'd say remove the air box ,make sure it's sealed ok@the firewall too is it foam or material chunks?seen the blender door seal spew chunks too

Re: Insulation in the vents?
Once you clean the ducts out, seal the hose connections to the plastic vent fittings with residential HVAC aluminized duct tape (the expensive shinny kind, not regular duct tape.) The hoses just barely fit on to the ends of the fittings, so they slip off very easily. You will have to have the dash pad off in order to reach down and apply the tape to seal the connections. You will also have to remove the glove box and probably the cigarette ash tray.

I know mine is full of rotting foam from the blend door. I think most of it is gone now but the only way to be sure is to take it apart and clean it.
