Some pics from Afghanistan

What's up fellas!!! I figured I would psot some pics of me from Afghanistan.
Our work area:

One of my Marines relaxing:

One of our gun posts:

One of me with a picture my Son painted for me:

One of me in my gear, I am a POG, not a grunt, so I don't don the gear too much. My Son thinks it's cool:

The tower in the background is the Air Traffic Control tower for the rotary Wing Flight line we supported.

Our chow was poor so we had family and friends send stuff out to us and we made some very interesting combinations of food. Don't ask what was in this bc I can't remember:

I still have a couple months left out here. The goog thing is, that this deployment has allowed me to collect some parts for the truck!!

Re: Some pics from Afghanistan

The chow was actually really good. We had a ton of other "creations" but they didn't last long enough to take a picture. We were living off of MRE's and tray rations, which are MRE's in bulk, needless to say the chow was horibble so we had to do something. Now I am living it up with great chow, in a real chow hall!

Thanks for all the support!! It definitely makes doing this all the more worth it.

Thats just wrong.. I know MREs are food, and you are suppose to deal with it.. but seriously.. in this day and age there is no excuse for yall having no "real" food... I am so glad you got your chow hall and real food. That had to simply suck monkeybutt.

So far I have:
2004 6.0 LQ4 and parts to convert from DBW to DBC
Ford 9"
Dash from a 65
Doors from a Suburban with elec. windows and locks
I will be rebuilding the front suspension/steering and upgrading to HD 1.25" brakes, rebuilding LQ4, the350 and 9" rear. Also installing a trailing arm suspension from CPP and rewiring the whole truck. I will make the big purchases in August.

MRE's aren't too bad, we were really out in the middle of nowhere.
