3*Door Panel Truck???
Is there such a thing? It seems I recently saw pictures of one, but I don't know if it was built out of a suburban or not. Pictures, please, pictures!
Thanks, Les |

Re: 3*Door Panel Truck???
Panel Trucks had just the 2 front doors. Only Suburbans had 3. Panel Truck's cargo area floor doesn't step down until just behind the two front seats.

Re: 3*Door Panel Truck???
I have to disagree on the floor. I have a '56 Panel and that doesn't step down except the foot wells at the doors. PanelDeland's and the one other in the '67-'70 I have looked at are the same, so a "step down" at a door doesn't seem to be a problem. There is a "foot well" on the three door sub, so in theory, a 3 door panel is a possibility. I just hope someone can prove or disprove them. Thanks for the input!

Re: 3*Door Panel Truck???
I have a 69 panel now and have owned several burbs. Sure its possible to fill in the windows of the burb to make a three door panel. When you open the third door you would have extra room because of the step down.
The step down on a burb happens at the back of the burb second row seat. Its not just a step down where you put your feet. On burbs that have a third seat, the seat mounting brackets just aren't as tall. I'm considering making a place to bolt a burb third row seat in my panel in case I ever want to haul extra people. There is no step down in a panel except where the back of the front seat is.
