intake

Fixing to get a long block for my '85. Will my old 305 intake fit on a 350?

Re: intake

As long as you don't have the Vortec style heads on your new engine you should be good.

What are your plans on the "real" motor?

Re: intake

Maybe you could put a "real" intake on that "real" motor by installing an edelbrock ???

I think jrcaprai was referring to an edelbrock intake manifold, not carb. Perhaps both would better serve your new 350. I'm a huge fan of the quadrajet, so don't rule out buying a reman or rebuilding it yourself. Save money, and increase efficiency.
