203 conversion
Guys,
I know this has been already asked I want to convert my truck to a part time kit or switch out the whole 203 and update it with something else what do you recommend? Whos sells the kits if I just convert my 203 what exactly do I need for the conversion? Thanks matt |

You don't need any except the kit. Just google np203 part time kit, that'll bring it up. I like the 203, just more versatile, but the 205 is supposedly bullet proof, so it's up to you.

It's a pretty easy conversion and well worth the time, effort, and expense.
All of the ones I have installed have good, well illustrated, directions. Depending upon which hub you have on the inside, you may need a "pin punch" to disassemble it. IIRC it's 1/8"? That is somewhat of a special thing that might slow down someone who is not expecting it. Some of the them are a simple bolt-together thing, others have roll pins holding the "cross" in the hub. There really is no way to tell which you have until it is opened up. I have heard people say that it is the 3/4 ton trucks that have the heavier (bolt together) unit, but I have seen them both ways....
