torque converter 350 to 383

will the torque converter off of my 350 fit onto a 383 with the same transmission?

Doing a swap from a 350 c.i.d. to a 383 c.i.d. engine, you should be able to use your existing 350 TurboHydramatic automatic transmission torque converter...however...you MIGHT need to change the flexplate so the converter can bolt up.

Check out PHOTO M 27 on my technical page:

be carefull swapping flexplates. If your 383 is made from old GM parts (ie, 400 crank) then you'll have a 400 specific flexplate and putting a non 400 unit on there will throw the engine out of ballance
