Hood latch relocation

I need to figure out how to get rid of the stock hood latch assembly. I need the space in front of the core support for better things than a hood latch. Anyone use bear claw type latches or done any kind of conversion that would open that area for me. thanks

Depending on your "theme" you could simply use old school hood pins. Very simple and effective.
