I've Picked Out My Color-What Do You Think?

My truck is about ready to paint. The plan all along was to paint it back the factory gold (Desert Sand) but after a long debate. Here is the color I've chosen. Since my interior is finished in brown, I wanted to stay with something close. I think this color is a little richer and should look good in basecoat/clearcoat . I know not everyone will like it but tell me what you think.

I am a big fan of tan / gold based topcoat colors.

They look really good and they always look "clean" becase dirt and crud don't show up on them very much.

Excellent choice.

Is that Gold, Butterscotch or Buckskin?

If you like it...that's all that matters.

Great choice. It looks good all the time. Bet you'll like it the longer you use it.

We live on dirt roads and use tan/earthys color to match the dirt.

I like it a lot. Is that an 82? I had one identical to that back in the early 90's.

That is an 82. That color appears to be a one year deal best I could find. I'm liking it too. Wouldn't mind having that Corvette.

Re: I've Picked Out My Color-What Do You Think?

I agree that your preference is what matters, since it is your truck.

I am finding that color choice is just the beginning. There are a lot of other elements that determine if the color works. I think almost any color can look good if the overall package is right. Interior package is very important and you have already considered that. The design, finish and texture of trim can make a big difference. Ride height, stance, wheel and tire choices can change the way a color feels. Graphics and details like pinstripes can take it from bad to good. All part of the fun.
