Cool find, and a 2wd vs 4wd question...
So I bought a 72 2wd cab for parts sight unseen yesterday for my son's 69 4x4 GMC that we are building for his first ride. Great doors, all the glass is good, recovered / padded seat, complete dash... Also got a perfect condition hood to replace our beat up one. Lots of good parts for $330 delivered I was outside tonight looking it over a little more closely, and I found that is still has the complete original jack setup behind the seat and strapped in like it was new. The styrofoam "bag" that holds the longer rods is deteriorated but there with the drawstring intact. Regardless, I was pretty stoked to find the whole thing there and intact. One question... would the jack setup for a 2wd be the same for a 4wd?

Re: Cool find, and a 2wd vs 4wd question...
I don't know for sure, but as long as the 4x4 isn't too tall it should work. I had a lifted Jimmy years ago and most jacks were worthless; I had to carry a hi-lift jack.
Looks like a good deal on the cab; did you get the title for it or is there some other way to swap VINs? Paul Posted via Mobile Device

Re: Cool find, and a 2wd vs 4wd question...
No title, but I'm not swapping the whole cab out anyway. This one has really solid metal everywhere except around the top. I mostly just wanted the doors, seat and hood, but he just made me a deal to take the whole thing. The 4x4 isn't lifted at all (now anyway) but I just thought it would be cool to throw it in and have it there if nothing else.

I carry a 4x4 inch block of wood to set my jack on. It is a scissor jack though.
