Re: factory air pics
As far as the truck goes, I love it.
It's a cryin' shame that someone had to get silly on that dash/radio slot.

Re: factory air pics
Do you think the clock should be fawn or just the silver. When I install mine I am wondering if I should paint it.

Re: factory air pics
If it is a 65 66 the factory color was black. In 64 the clock was black and some were silver but it was a different style clock

Re: factory air pics
Thats strange , no air in GMC's till 67, I always thought they were higher end trucks, you would think they would have had air in 64 instead.

Re: factory air pics
GMCs had AC in 66 at least-Tom Myers in Miami OK had a 66 GMC w/fact AC-it used same box & such as the Chev AC, but w/the control knobs & vents underdash.

Re: factory air pics
I pulled a almost complete setup from a 66. Everything was the same minus the under dash vent assemblies and vent pull knob location.

Re: factory air pics
I was bored today and was just surfing aimlessly and went to Tony Smith's Flickr page and checked out the awesome parts collection and came upon a picture of a 64-66 cluster with what appears to be a factory-looking clock. Don't know if it's original, but man, does it sure look cool.
http://www.flickr.com/photos/4-5-6ch...57602958042517 It kinda looks like a '62 Impala clock except for the time-adjust knob: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1961-...s#ht_500wt_956 Tony has got an amazing collection of parts. I miss him being around on here. It shows that his account was suspended, and that usually means that somebody did something wrong. On Ebay: Here's the real-deal dash clock. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1965-...#ht_500wt_1182 For all you 60-66 GMC guys, check out this out. I have never seen one of these: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1960-...ht_1896wt_1165 Yelmer- Your truck is amazing. It's a great reference to anyone who wants to see a truck that's been done correctly.
