Stc 2011

So I've been anxiously waiting for Scrapin The Coast 2011 to start and get my 67 on the road finally.....almost had her there and then sh*t went south fast.

Ill give you the short version...blew a radiator hose as I was setting the timing and my engine caught on fire! Luckily I got away with only this nice burn and some burnt plug wires, or atleast that's all I know so far.

Needless to say, my truck didnt make her debut....but I had a few beers and enjoyed the scenery anyway.

And then 2 of my favorites...

Re: Stc 2011

Hate to hear about your bad news, I have been there (sorta). I finally got min all together last year for Showfest, and the evening before i was supposed to leave I took her out for a shakedown test. Blew my powersteering hose. I ALMOST just cut the belt to the pump and gorilla armed it down to tunica, but decided that might not be the best idea, and Im glad I didnt. It raied its ass off the entire drive down, which would have been real treacherous on these roads through the Ozarks.

The good news is you are ok, and the truck will just take longer to debut.
Im glad you had a good time at the show, its a great one. I went 3 years ago, but have not had the oppertunity to go again. maybe next year. Maybe you can get her all done and be able to bring it up to the ///RA Allstar Event in Millington TN in September. That show is a blast too.

Re: Stc 2011

Yeah STC is a blast.....alotta kids in POS's but hey not everyone cant afford a BiG dollar (me included) truck like that Green 2 door Tahoe which won Best of Show!!

Shell get on the road one day....just frustrating when you think after, on damn....3 yrs years of on and off work!! Mine is FAAAAR from a show winner, but I love her just the same.

Oh well....Blood Sweat and Tears....that's what this addiction is about!

WOW!

Those trucks are really down low huh?

Keep it.

You'll get yours on the road soon enough.

(As I keep saying that to myself too).
