67 w/ power steering question

How many of you had to modify (cut) your inner fender to get the inner fender to stop rubbing one of the power steering lines? I cant remember if it is the return or the supply line that is comming off of the steering box that is hitting the fender a little. I finally got my fender & innerfender back from my painter and we set in on the truck only to find that I'm going to have to trim a little of the inner fender around that power steering line.

I take it you have the newer style power steering rather than the slave cylinder type on your 67. I put power steering on a 71 that I had and I cut the inner fender. Best I remember[this was 20 years ago] there was an indention in the sheetmetal and I just followed the "line" with a jigsaw. Since 67's never came with that type powersteering your inner fender may not have the indention. Look a truck with power steering and use a piece of cardboard to trace the shape so you can get a factory looking shape to your cut. Good Luck

Thanks Tom. I bought this truck with this power steering box already on it. It is the newer style. I saw the line you were talking about and I am going to have to do the same thing that you did.

Thanks again,
Ryan
