Single or Dual Gas Tanks
Hey guys, I was just wondering if there is a way to find out whether my truck originally had a single or dual gas tank set up. It is a 1975 Chevy C10 and it only has a gas tank on the passenger side. Once again, I'd like to know if there is any way to know whether it was originally a single or dual tank set up.

Re: Single or Dual Gas Tanks
Trucks equipped with dual tanks should have a transfer switch on the dash and gas tank fillers on both sides.

Well, it could have been a bed off a different truck, but anyway...Look for a patch panel on the dash as well, you can't replace that part of the dash, so if it did it'll be patched. Also you can trace the fuel lines and see if there's any hints of it being modified, might suggest original duel tanks. And if your options sticker is still in the glove box that will list duel tanks if it had them. That's all I can really think of...

Re: Single or Dual Gas Tanks
That's just a bad gauge or sending unit, lol. The gauge reads depending on what tank you have selected when you have dual tanks, not collectively, ahaha. Sorry, that was like, goofy humor or something like that. Anyway, were you just curious, or...? If you were wanting to go duel tanks, it's not too hard of an install.
