new here.. 700r4

i have an 85 chevy single cab lwb with a 350 and 700r4. i was wondering im having promlems down shifting. i think maybe i need a new governer. because i know sometimes the springs in them where out and causes this problem. the truck also shifts quick in to second gear like at about 20. so is realy luging down.

Its most likley your TV cable, either broke, off, or miss adjusted. IT WILL burn the transmission up if not corrected. Make sure its connected to your carb linkage and not broken first.

The govenor helps control the upshifts. Not to be a smart tail are you sure it is a 700r4? That sounds like a classic symptom that I have run into on several th350C trans

its a 700r4 trans its 4x4 withe overdrive so its the 400
