67/72junkie
It is with reluctance that I make this post, but I've given Don all kinds of time and opportunity to make contact. Here's the background - I purchased a console from him on 5/17, and then made arrangements with him to restore it. Details are in this thread.
In the beginning we conversed often about things like cupholder or seatbealt style, proper color, chrome or stainless, etc. and then it tailed off. On 5/27, I received this PM from Don (emphasis mine): Quote:
Quote:
On 6/22 I sent him a PM which said Quote:
On 6/27 I sent the following to his email / paypal address: Quote:
That about brings it up to date. I appreciate any help I can get at this point. Thanks

Re: 67/72junkie
I also have a deal semi pending with Don. We made a deal that I would ship him some seat bottoms as a deposit for a console. I shipped the bottoms and the tracking number confirmed that he received them.
The other day I sent him a PM asking his paypal, so I could pay the remainder. No response. From what I've read he seems to be a stand up guy. I just hope nothing bad has happened. |

Re: 67/72junkie
Yes Hopefully he is ok, BUT i had a thread WTB custom 30 emblems, after i posted i had a few members step up and i chose him cause he said they are very nice, so we agreed on 50.00 shipped. I sent 50.00 paypal on the 16th of june took few days and he got back to me on the 20th saying he was out of town and he got the money and would ship them out on the next day, making it june 21st. thats the last i heard from him. I have emailed him numerous times with no reply. I even offered if he wanted to keep them just paypal my 50.00 back to me with no reply.... Lets just hope he is ok and hope he takes care of us all..... I have never had this happen so should i wait longer or contact paypal explaining I have not recieved my emblems...
Tony

Re: 67/72junkie
At this point I'd recommend everyone to start the claims process on paypal. Maybe if he is okay, that will get him to touch base with his buyers...and if not, maybe they can pull the money out of his acct....
I found his number from an old deal (we were supposed to swap some parts at Charlotte but he never came) Called and left a message a few days ago with no response. And other members have called, emailed, and pm'd with no response either.

On payday I sent a PM asking what his paypal was and I have yet to get a response. Even if I do at this point I'm not sure if I'm comfortable with going through with the deal as it seems like his intent is less than honorable (unless, there is a reasonable excuse for ignoring everyone) So, I'm not sure what course of action I could take. It's not really about the money at this point, but more principle. |

Re: 67/72junkie
Oh I agree. I have dealt with him in the past on some seat parts and he was great to deal with on this occassion. I hope something bad hasn't happened to him or a family member. I'm really trying to assume good intent..

Re: 67/72junkie
No one is saying he is a bad dude. He has had several slow ship issues in the past, but all were resolved. The fact he stated to some he would be out of town, and has not been back since is a concern. We all hope, all is well. Issue is, either way folks are out parts or money. Until it is resolved, they will need to post here.

Re: 67/72junkie
ATTN: I TALKED TO DONALD TONIGHT! I was getting worried since no one (myself included) has heard from him so I made some calls to his hometown today and finally got him. He had an unexpected family / legal issue come up and he had to go out of state. It was only supposed to take a day or two, but wound up lasting nearly 3 weeks. He was away and involved so long that his cable/phone got cut off while he was out of town. He wanted me to pass on to everyone that he has ALL packages ready to go and they will ship out tomorrow. He said he will go to the library or somewhere with internet access tomorrow and send out tracking numbers to everyone. He wanted me to apologize to everyone for the inconvenience. I'm just glad to hear he is OK!
