Unidentified bolted object ???

What is this ???

It's located next to the passenger side tank. 80 chevy C-10

I am sure it has something to do with the fuel system,
but unable to locate a picture in my chevy manual.

Sorry to be lame, but I am not up to date with fuel systems.

Thanks Bill

That's a fuel tank selector solenoid.

Have fun with it!

No longer working is correct, I am pulling parts off and did not want to discard something I may need, but since I am going to run with one tank I no longer need this.
