rear gear swap and speedometer

I just swapped my center section in my HO-52 from 4.57s to 4.10s....I was wondering how much this would throw my speedometer off?

Re: rear gear swap and speedometer

Easiest way is to check it with GPS.

Re: rear gear swap and speedometer

Like turp said, it's going to be a percentage, not a constant number. You can swap the driven gear in the transmission to get it back right again.

Re: rear gear swap and speedometer

Yes because with the 4.57s that I had in it, when I would go 55mph my truck would be screamin....now with the 4.10s, it is still screamin at 55mph, like nothings changed....so the best bet is to use a gps?
