Rear End Width
Can any one tell me what the width of the rear end of a 55-59 truck is. I'm out of town an my have found an axel for my truck just need to make sure it is correct. I you have backing plate to backing plate and from drum to drum that would be great. Thanks

Re: Rear End Width
This link is saying 62 but I can measure the 55 rear end I have out here as I want to swap tires on it this morning anyhow.
One of the good links for rear end comparison http://www.carnut.com/specs/rear.html Confirmation on the 62 inches. http://www.customclassictrucks.com/t...kit/index.html |

Re: Rear End Width
I measured the six lug out of a 56 and it was 62" outer drum to drum and just shy of 56" backing plate to backing plate.
