Color Opinion!
Hello everyone,
I'm writting everyone to get there opinion on a color for my truck. All the body work is completed and she is in primer waiting to get sprayed with a beautiful color? But my problem is selecting the best color for her? I'm really into Red or even Green but I would also like to hear everyones opinions! If you guys can help me out I would gladly appreciate it. The truck is a 1967 c 10 short bed! Thank You all! |

Re: Color Opinion!
I've been digging that newer GM champagne color. Thinking It would look good with black on the top of the truck. Just thought it would be a little different. Its probably been done and someone will post a pic though.

Re: Color Opinion!
I was taught a long time ago to go with a color that was tried and true! You wouldn't want to pay a lot of money for a paint job that "looks dated" a few years later. I went with Nassau Blue on my truck and get compliments all of the time.....No, it wasn't a color that came with our trucks, but it was a color that you would relate with speed.....Corvette, Camaro and Chevelle's. I would recommend choosing a color that came in the tri-years for these vehicles!

Re: Color Opinion!
Here's a '67 that was bought new by a friend. He's had a painted twice, courtesy of teaching his two boys to drive and then let them take it to college. It's silver with a white top. The red one is owned by Early Classic Enterprises.
I think that seeing trucks like yours, in paint, is the best way to figure out what color you like. Paint charts are nice, but nothing beats seeing a finished product.

Re: Color Opinion!
How about two tone red and green??
Seriously, red or green with a white roof would look great. Anything with a white roof looks great.

Re: Color Opinion!
I like red! If you go red get a bright red, not a ketchup kind of red. Gaurds red is very nice, look at some older Porches, a lot of them were painted Gaurds red, it looks awesome with black. Black is nice if your body work is perfect, it will look dirty faster and you can see every imperfection in the body work and any flaws in the paint. Black also gets hot! I also like the light green that our trucks came stock with, maybe have the paint shop brighten it up a little, green looks great with the top of the cab white.
It all depends on you though! Do you want your truck to look fun or serious? Bright colors look more exciting to me, fun. Dark colors look more serious or mean. Silvers look more mature or classy, refined. It all depends on what you want to portray. Thats how I look at color, I don't know if everyone would agree. It took me months to decide on a color when I painted my 72, I wanted it to look "fun" so I ended up using the first color I thought of, that was Hugger Orange. Posted via Mobile Device |

Re: Color Opinion!
Yeah, but no one crosses the street for a closer look at a black truck. Just don't paint it this color. It's just a little limp wristed!

Re: Color Opinion!
The problem in asking for opinions on which color to paint your truck is getting what you asked for, lots of opinions. There's so many colors to chooose from, that it can be overwhelming. As someone mentioned earlier, look at lots of pictures of trucks and find out which color you like best.
It's YOUR truck, so the color YOU pick is what YOU should be happy with. Not what everyone else thinks you should pick.

Re: Color Opinion!
I like the look in your closet. Mine would be Levis bluejean blue, faded of course, with the bluejean bench seat cover, with a few well worn holes and the tag on the passenger side. I like the Gold and white too though.
